The short version

Mid-market companies (roughly 50 to 1,000 employees) are the segment where the ABM software decision is genuinely hard. You are big enough that 6sense and Demandbase will take the call and small enough that their full-suite pricing hurts. Our re-ranked list for this segment puts RollWorks first for the largest slice of mid-market buyers: it was built for this size of company, integrates natively with both HubSpot and Salesforce, and has tiered pricing that starts below the enterprise platforms. Metadata (our sponsor, disclosed) ranks second for mid-market teams whose spend is concentrated in paid social. 6sense ranks third, not first, because at this size its cost and implementation lift are only justified once you have a dedicated marketing ops person.

This is a different order from our main rankings, on purpose. The weights changed. See the methodology section, then the per-vendor notes.

Best ABM software for mid-market, ranked

Eight ABM platforms ranked for companies of 50 to 1,000 employees. Pricing from public pages or, where unpublished, third-party contract data (Vendr) cited in sources. G2 ratings at time of writing.

How we re-weighted for mid-market

For this segment we scored on five factors: fit with a 3-10 person marketing team (25%), total cost including implementation relative to typical mid-market budgets (25%), native CRM integration depth for HubSpot and Salesforce (20%), execution capability across channels (15%), and G2 rating (15%). Compared with the small-business page, execution capability is back in, because a mid-market team can actually use it. Compared with the enterprise page, cost and team-size fit are weighted far more heavily, which is what moves RollWorks above 6sense.

We did not score on category breadth. A mid-market team rarely benefits from buying conversational email, sales intelligence, and data enrichment in the same contract as ABM advertising; it usually already has tools for two of those three.

Vendor notes for 50-1,000 employee companies

1. RollWorks

RollWorks is the safest first ABM platform for a mid-market company, and that is a compliment. It covers account identification, a proprietary account-fit and intent model, programmatic display across its own inventory, LinkedIn ad activation, website personalization, and sales alerts, with tiers (Starter, Standard, Professional, Ultimate) listed on its pricing page. The HubSpot and Salesforce integrations are bidirectional and mature; that matters more at this size than at enterprise, because you will not have a data engineer to fix sync issues. The known weakness is that its predictive scoring is less sophisticated than 6sense's, and display is a channel that mid-market teams sometimes struggle to attribute. G2 has it at 4.3 across a large review base. Our RollWorks vs Demandbase page goes deeper on the trade-off.

2. Metadata.io (sponsor, disclosed)

Metadata is our sponsor. Its public G2 rating is 4.6 and it was named a Leader in G2's Spring 2026 ABM grid; we never rate it above that G2 figure. It is not an intent platform and does not claim to be. It is the execution layer: you bring a target account list (from your CRM, from Bombora, from 6sense if you have it), and Metadata's agents build audiences, launch campaigns across eight ad channels including LinkedIn, Meta, and Google, and reallocate budget toward what is producing pipeline. Named public customers include Zoom, IBM, Cisco, Brex, Notion, and Vercel; a Forrester TEI study is published on its site. For a mid-market demand gen team where the marketing manager is personally running LinkedIn Campaign Manager, it removes the most labor-intensive part of the job. It ranks second rather than first because it does not replace a CRM-side account view or provide intent data on its own, and because it does not publish pricing. Mid-market teams commonly pair it with HubSpot or Salesforce plus an intent source. Metadata's own comparison pages (vs 6sense) state its side of the argument; read them as vendor content.

3. 6sense

6sense is the most capable platform in the category and tops our main list. For mid-market it drops to third because of two things you can check yourself: it does not publish pricing, and third-party contract data on Vendr places typical annual contracts in the tens of thousands to low six figures depending on modules. The implementation is real work; our review estimates 8-12 weeks with a dedicated customer success team. A 300-person company with a marketing ops lead and a Salesforce admin can absorb that and will get the best predictive scoring and orchestration available. A 120-person company with a marketing team of four often buys 6sense and uses 30% of it. If you are actively looking for a way out of a 6sense contract, 6sensealternatives.com covers that scenario specifically.

4. Demandbase

Demandbase One is 6sense's closest peer, with a stronger sales-side story (account insights inside the rep's workflow, plus conversation intelligence and sales intelligence modules). Pricing is quote-only. For mid-market it lands fourth for the same cost-and-lift reasons as 6sense, with a slight edge going to 6sense on predictive modeling and to Demandbase on Salesforce depth. Read the 6sense vs Demandbase comparison if you are choosing between the two; the honest answer is that at mid-market you should demo both against the same account list.

5. HubSpot ABM

If your company is on HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise ($3,600/month published), you already own target-account tiering, company scoring, account overview dashboards, and LinkedIn audience sync. For a mid-market HubSpot shop this is often the operating layer even when another vendor supplies ads or intent. It ranks fifth as a standalone ABM tool because it has no third-party intent and no display network; it would rank first as a system of record. More on our HubSpot integration page.

6. ZoomInfo Marketing

ZoomInfo Marketing bundles intent, website visitor identification, and display ads on top of the ZoomInfo data licence. If you already pay for ZoomInfo Sales (widely deployed in mid-market Salesforce orgs), adding Marketing can be cheaper than a separate platform. As a standalone purchase it is rarely the right call; the ads and orchestration are behind RollWorks and the two enterprise suites. See ZoomInfo vs 6sense.

7. Bombora

Bombora is intent data, not an ABM platform, so ranking it against platforms is slightly unfair. It is here because a common mid-market stack is Bombora Company Surge feeding a target list into RollWorks, HubSpot, or Metadata. Pricing is not published. If you already have 6sense or Demandbase, you likely already have Bombora data through a partnership. intentdatatools.com covers the intent-data side of this decision.

8. Influ2

Influ2 runs person-based advertising: ads shown to named individuals on a buying committee, with engagement reported per person. G2 rating is strong (4.7). It is narrow by design, and most mid-market teams treat it as a second tool layered on top of an account-level platform. Pricing is not published.

Typical mid-market stacks

Three stacks we see most often at 50-1,000 employees. Software pricing only where published; ad budget illustrative.
StackComponentsWhat's publishedSuits
HubSpot-nativeHubSpot Enterprise + RollWorks + Bombora (optional)HubSpot $3,600/mo; RollWorks tiered; Bombora unpublishedHubSpot CRM shops, 50-300 employees
Paid-social-ledHubSpot or Salesforce + Metadata (sponsor) + intent sourceMetadata unpublished; CRM publishedDemand gen teams spending mostly on LinkedIn/Meta
Salesforce full-suiteSalesforce + 6sense or DemandbaseNeither platform publishes pricing300-1,000 employees with marketing ops headcount

Whichever stack you choose, confirm the CRM sync direction in the demo. The most common mid-market failure we hear about is not a bad vendor but a one-way sync that leaves sales looking at stale account scores. For agency alternatives at this size, bestabmagencies.com lists firms that run ABM programs on top of these platforms.

Our verdict

Under about 300 employees, start with RollWorks (or Metadata, our sponsor, if paid social is your main channel) on top of the CRM you already have. Above 300, with a marketing ops hire in place, 6sense and Demandbase become worth their price and implementation time; demo both against the same 200-account list before signing.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as mid-market for ABM software?

We use 50 to 1,000 employees. Vendors slice it differently; 6sense and Demandbase generally treat 'mid-market' as the lower end of their target, while RollWorks and HubSpot treat it as the core.

Is 6sense worth it for a 200-person company?

It can be if you have a marketing ops person and a Salesforce admin to run it. Without that headcount, most 200-person teams use a fraction of the platform. Ask 6sense for a scoped mid-market package and compare against RollWorks on the same account list.

What is the cheapest full ABM platform for mid-market?

Among platforms with account ID, intent, and ads in one product, RollWorks has the lowest published entry tier. HubSpot Enterprise is cheaper if you only need CRM-side account operations without display ads.

Does Metadata.io replace 6sense?

No, and Metadata is our sponsor so weigh that. Metadata is an ad execution layer; 6sense is an intent and orchestration platform. Some teams run both, some replace 6sense's advertising module with Metadata, and some small mid-market teams use Metadata plus a cheaper intent feed instead of 6sense.

How long does mid-market ABM implementation take?

RollWorks and HubSpot ABM: days to a couple of weeks. Metadata: typically weeks, gated by ad account access. 6sense and Demandbase: our reviews estimate 8-12 weeks with vendor CS involvement.

Should mid-market teams buy intent data separately?

If you choose 6sense or Demandbase, intent is included. If you choose RollWorks, HubSpot, or Metadata, you may add Bombora or G2 Buyer Intent as a feed. Do it after the execution channel works, not before.
